It's an all-in-one sort of kit! The kids can learn and eat a treat, all while having fun in a meaningful way. These printables help the kids feel BLESSED (rather than lucky), while learning that true riches (heavenly riches) comes as we follow Jesus Christ. And while looking for leprechauns is fun, the true treasures in life come as we look for ways to become more like the Savior.
This kit is perfect for family night, primary, preschool, & more!
Here’s what you get:
-2 different bag toppers. One is a square topper that can be attached to any gift bag with ribbon or tape. The second topper is perfect for zipper snack baggies. Just glue, tape, or staple the topper onto the baggie after it is full.
-Circle treat toppers in 3 different sizes: 1.5 inch, 1 inch, and .75 inch. Each circle set covers the 9 "Blessed" beatitudes found in Matthew 5:3-11.
The 1.5 inch circle fits perfectly on chocolate gold coins. The 1 inch circles are great on plastic coins found at dollar stores or craft stores. And the .75 circles make perfect kiss or rolo toppers.
Suggested Assembly:
-Cut out all the bag toppers and circle tags. You will want one bag topper and beatitude circle set for each kid. (There are 9 beatitude circles per set.)
Suggested Use:
-Give each kid a bag filled with the 9 beatitude circles that have been attached to a treat/plastic coin. Have the kids take turns looking up and reading all the beatitude scriptures. Discuss what each scripture means. After reading the scriptures, the kids can eat their treat.
Example discussion questions:
--What does it mean to “lay up treasures in heaven?”
-How does this attribute (i.e. meekness) make us more like the Savior? How does this make us spiritually “rich”?
-Why do you think the Savior gave us these specific commandments during his Sermon on the Mount?
-What can we do to be more _____________ as the Savior has commanded?
-How does this attribute make us “blessed?”
